Cash-in-transit (CIT) businesses are essential to the global currency supply chain. By providing secured transportation of currency, CIT companies ensure the safety, security and integrity of money around the world.
However, running a CIT enterprise presents a multitude of challenges.
With Morphis’ new m•Track application for Android devices, capturing and communicating over-the-road activity such as secure package deliveries, pick-ups, ATM replenishment and balancing activity in real-time is no longer one of them.
We recently sat down with Morphis Global Director Sales and Marketing Debra Miller to discuss how m•Track provides CIT businesses with added efficiency:
Q: How does m•Track on Android devices work?
Debra Miller: Android devices are rapidly becoming the de facto standard for many secured logistics companies. For Morphis, deploying our mobile track and trace for the Android eco-system was the next logical step in our ongoing efforts to develop automation technologies for the CIT industry.
Morphis’ m•Track utilizes the latest in Android technology for tracking the movement of vehicles and the parcels they carry. It records signatures, and prints and emails receipts and a host of other features. Available in English and Spanish, m•Track captures and communicates all activity such as secure package deliveries, pick-ups, and ATM replenishment and balancing in real-time so you can easily view what’s going on with your business from the internet or on a mobile device.
Q: Is it easy to integrate into Morphis? How does it work with Morphis?
Debra Miller: It’s super easy to integrate m•Track into your current Morphis application. GPS data provided by the Android device seamlessly integrates with the Morphis Optimized Vehicle and Routing (MOVR) system – providing enhanced command and control of CIT fleets on the move.
Q: Explain the benefits for CIT companies.
Debra Miller: The biggest benefit to Morphis m•Track solution is that it saves CIT’s time and money. It allows any size CIT to eliminate costly manual route and delivery sheets. And, it provides the CIT’s customer with the ability to track their deliveries via email and on the web.
