Dr. Mahmud Hossain, Chief Software Architect
Dr. Mahmud Hossain is the creative force and technical genius behind the software known as Morphis®.
In his role as Chief Software Architect, Dr. Hossain is not only responsible for creation and support of Morphis software products, he is the guiding force behind the unique (and mostly secret) methodologies used by Morphis that produce the extraordinary results achieved by its customers.
Along with Alif Rahman he is co-founder of the company, and in addition to his day-to-day duties he also serves as chairman of the board.
Dr. Hossain holds a Ph.D. and Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana (Lafayette, Louisiana). In Bangladesh, he earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (Dhaka, Bangladesh). At Rajshahi College (Rajshahi, Bangladesh) he earned a H.S.C (Science) and placed fifth among 95,000 students in the H.S.C. public examination; and graduated in the top one percent in the S.S.C. public examination where he obtained also earned a S.S.C (Science) degree.
Prior to founding Morphis, Dr. Hossain was employed as Senior Software Engineer with Lafayette, LA-based independent ATM deployer North American Cash Systems, Inc., worked as a Software Engineer at CompuVision Ltd. in Dhaka, Bangladesh and as an Assistant Programmer for the Bangladesh National Board of Revenue. Major accomplishments during his career include developing a software system for class scheduling at the public universities of Bangladesh and developing a house-keeping software application for the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
